Lyrics:: HU: Moderately satisfactory Moderately satisfactory drone footage of a lady getting changed I keep you around for unethical entertainment Abstinence was Never the goal here Never the goal here Never the goal here Don’t forget your hat on your way out x2 This is not the end yet, this is not the end x8 Abstinence is the unethical entertainment. EN: Never the goal here (repeated) HU: Next to me (repeated) EN: I guess it must be.

HU: the phone rings the doorbell sounds someone knocks a man shouts do you need something or are you selling, and what? love or stuff? leave me alone, go now, I'll be done soon if you let me be by myself. Come on in, do you want some food? x 5 EN: Don’t call me when I’m shopping for groceries, I’m busy Leave me to stroll in the aisle - your dad is free, is he? Ring him instead if his phone is not dead, wait, he’s napping in bed… Sure, let’s talk. HU: If I had time to fulfil all the requests, all the wants If I had time to listen to who needs, what, how, where and when if I had time * 4 If I had time to read through all the essays, the ‘first draft’ books If I had time to figure out who to pour what and from which glass if I had time * 4 Everyone just asks for something, waits for something, tells me something Where did I go and who am I? I'm out now. Who am I? I'm out.

about

In a dingy shared student house in Brighton, a huge print once hung on the living room wall. The print by George Maciunas illustrates a human head filled with a variety of things-

On one side is the madness of current existence:

*Non-sensory world of speed-up & play-back of experience & data*

*Air conditioning, central heating, canned foods*

*TV, Film, Radio, Telephone, Tape*

On the other side is the pureness of sensing and being:

*Art is direct sensory programming*

*Rustic living*

*Mini environments: Self-defined, self-governed*

Underneath in simple black letters - ***Contemporary Man***

Five years later a release by two ex-residents of said shared abode is searching for its title. The tracks are separate but united by something untouchable; common threads connect between small details of day-to-day existence, mundanity and overexcitement, hustle culture and burnout, perfectionism and dissatisfaction. The title finds the work.

The cultural medley of the release is underpinned by the diverse backgrounds of the duo — composer and instrument designer Guoda Dirzyte is originally from Lithuania, currently based in Scotland, while lyricist and vocalist Maja Mihalik hail from Hungary, currently living in Brighton. Their sound also includes a touch of far east Asian influence, due to Guoda’s time spent studying in Japan. As a result of their past nearly 10 years living and working in the UK, the release also nods to the island's currently prominent lo-fi ambient culture.
